Your processor’s gateway, whatever it is called.
NMI is sold through hundreds of resellers, each with its own branding, its own portal and its own domain. If the platform underneath is NMI, the plugin connects to it the same way.
Enter your own gateway URL. No brand specific version needed.
What this means for you
The differences that actually affect setup.
Your endpoint, not ours
The gateway URL field takes your processor’s own domain. Nothing is hardcoded, which is why one plugin covers every reseller.
Your rates stay yours
Switching plugin does not touch the merchant agreement. The rates you negotiated with your ISO are unaffected.
Feature availability varies
Resellers enable different modules. ACH, Level III or 3D Secure may need requesting from your account manager.
Terminology may differ
Some portals call the security key an API key or an integration key. It is the same credential.
Setting it up
Have your gateway portal open in another tab.
- Find your API or integration settingsUsually under settings, security, or integrations in your gateway portal. Ask your account manager if it is not visible to your login.
- Copy the endpoint and keyThe endpoint is your processor’s domain, typically ending in transact.php. The key is a long string shown once.
- Test the connectionIf the test returns your merchant ID, you are on the NMI platform and everything the plugin does is available to you.
A refused feature is not a plugin bug
If ACH or Level III returns an error, the usual cause is that the module is not enabled on your merchant account. The log records the exact gateway response, which is what your processor will ask for.
